She made me feel so comfortable. Her voice was soft and she spoke slowly and clearly and made sure that I understood every step that she was taking. Her exam was easy and painless and she solved my problem. It doesn’t get better than that.
This was not a highlight of my life, I didn’t like hearing that I had dysplasia of the cervix. The doctor reassured me that this would not be a problem and that we could treat it in the office. She answered all my questions. I never felt rushed.
I just needed a birth control Pill. But she didn’t stop there. I was the one in a rush but, I finally did stop to listen as she explained all the options and all the dangers associated with various forms of Birth Control. I finally decided to use just condoms. It’s less complicated and, if used correctly, there is just a small rate of failure. She convinced me that in my case, it was worth taking the risk of pregnancy since I have varicosities and I planned to get pregnant in about six months anyway. She explained to me that if I wanted to delay the pregnancy even longer, she could insert an IUD or teach me how to use a diaphragm. I really appreciated her insistence in talking to me about Birth Control.
Such relief!!! A female gynecologist with gentle hands. She was so patient, and she seemed to really understand what I was going through. She explained everything that she was going to do so that I didn’t have any shock or surprises.
